We are lucky enough to have the opportunity of having Caroline King, famous for her fantastic ' Robin'  batik painting taking classes here in the near future. Happy New Year to everyone, I hope 2012 is a happy productive one for all our followers. We are happy to announce another 10 week course at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, a fantastic venue, starting wednesday 18th January 7 - 9p.m. with a few more exciting  Glass Fusing projects  for you to try. Crafts for Christmas

Our Crafts for Christmas Fair is this sunday 20th november 10.30 to 4.30 , come along and pick up a bargain . lots to see and do. FREE Tea and Coffee, Make and Take workshops. Cake stall, plants, Body Shop, Glass, Cards, Crochet goods. Raffle in aid of The Childrens Society. Also FREE raffle for a pendant.

Craft Fair at Broughton

Courtesy of the lovely Caroline King of Stables Workshop Ulverston our jewellery will be available at the
Evening Craft Fair at Victory Hall, Broughton in Furness on Thursday 10 November 7 - 9pm

On her table she will have original batik pictures and cards plus felt jewellery from Jan Hicks and glass jewellery by Craft Studio Glass Works.

It would be lovely to see you there as this is an evening event in a great venue and the atmosphere is very festive.

The Stables Workshop

The lovely Caroline King of The Stables Workshop, Buxton Place, Ulverston is holding a few Open Studio events in November and December. She willl be open 10 a.m. till 4 on saturday 5th November, also The Dickensian Weekend and  3 saturdays in December. Whatch this space for more details. Caroline will have a fantastic display of her Silk Paintings and some guest artists will also be selling their wares. We will ;have our jewellery on display.

Vintage Village Hal Coniston

New Courses

We are really pleased with the new courses we are running at The Brewery Arts Centre in  Kendal Cumbria. These are held once a month and due to the popularity in September  a second date has been added. There are just a few places left for saturday September 10th so ring the Brewery to book. As this is a funded event the costs are £27 per person and £21 for concessions. The cost of the glass depends on how much you make, usually  about £20. Places are limited to 12 so ring early to book.

Made in Cumbria is a vibrant business community offering a wide range of practical support to help the development of businesses  in the Cumbria region.  Our products will be available in Made in Cumbria shops and on their  website. Look out for us  in the Made in Cumbria tent at Major local events. Dates we are attendidng  will be shown on this website.

Craft Weekend

Many thanks to all the lovely people who turned out over the weekend to support our open weekend. We raised £51 for The Childrens Society. 24 children enjoyed the Easter egg hunt , 34 people made glass pendants and 12 people tried the Encaustic Art sessions. I am so grateful to Karin Preston for providing Holistic Therapies, Mary Procter for bringing her lovely wood turned products and jewellery , Andrew Marsden for his unusual plants and Gillian Taylor for her georgeous childrens crochet.A wonderful atmosphere and lots of laughter.  Click on Gallery to view photos of the event.
